Actually no star...Food wasn't worth the money. The calarmares were slapped on the plate with a lemon. Zero taste and without remoulade. The menu for €25 was gambas with pasta and entrecote, dessert and wine. The gambas were shrimp and the entrecote was not asked how it should be. So it was medium rare... I skipped the postres (dessert) and the wine that went with it didn't come or wasn't billed. The bill was only said what you should pay and when asked, the bill came, handwritten. It was the first and last time we were there. We should have read the reviews first. ... I forgot the dirty wine glasses. Yesterday evening showed that things can be done differently.
We visited here on our first night in Chinchon. The restaurant is in Plaza Mayor and there are tables overlooking the plaza so we could sit and watch all the activity going on. We had a fabulous waiter who indulge our language limitations and together with many laughs we managed to choose our dishes. The food was very good and the service was excellent and as night drew on and the lights came up in the plaza our outlook was quite magical. We loved this experience.
We ordered a glass of red wine and a beer. The waitress spilt the glass of wine on my white shorts, arm and watch. 1/2 the glass. She brought soda water and a towel.never brought our food or offered to fill the glass of wine. When we waited and didn’t receive our tapas we decided to leave so I could go soak my shorts. We were stilled charged 5€ for the drinks. I’m a Spaniard at heart, I grew up in Madrid. This bar doesn’t exemplify the Spanish way.
Arco da Goya is a wonderfully ordinary corner bar overlooking Chinchon’s super Plaza Mayor. I know it’s the done thing to sit outside at tables in such places, but I really like coming into the actual bar to appreciate the style and decor, and enjoy a beer or two in cool comfort. And this is a nice place to do it.

We went during the week and we did the menu of the day, 16 euros. Very basic and simple menu for that price, to highlight the migas del pastor, they were croutons with chorizo, personally for that alone they deserve the assessment that I give them. The treatment of the waiters was good
calidad es bueno y precio razonable. Sin embargo, tomó media hora traernos el primero, y otros 15 minutos al segundo después de recoger el primero. Es verdad que fue el 12 de octubre, pero en el momento en que fuimos el restaurante estaba bastante vacío.
Very bad welcome by the waiter. No smile, no nice words. We only have four glasses and a plate of tapas. Wine were not good and tapas not good at all (frozen bread and industrial toppings). We decided to leave to have donner in another restaurant.
deliciosa comida según el precio, camareros de diez y excelentes vistas si tienes suerte de comer en el balcón.
