**NOT RECOMMENDED!** We had lunch at Aristo Cafe Mediterran located at 310 E Grand Ave #110, El Segundo, CA 90245, and it was a disappointing experience. We ordered the Tri-Tip Shawarma Plate and the Steak and Chicken Shawarma Plate. Unfortunately, both the beef and chicken were excessively salty, overcooked, and poorly prepared. It felt unhealthy and unappetizing to eat! (See pictures.) The beef was of very low quality, tough, and had too much fatty tissue. The overwhelming salt and overcooking rendered it inedible. I really enjoyed the Cauliflower salad here and became a regular customer, buying it from time to time. One day, I went in to get some food, and the owner, who was with another person, told me that the food wasn't fresh that day and suggested I come back tomorrow. I was taken aback and asked him what he meant by that. He apologized and said he was just looking out for me, but insisted that I return the next day. I was so shocked! He had never treated me that way before. So, I ended up getting food next door at Ensenada's and sat outside, where I saw a family walk in and get served without any issues. I never went back after that experience.
The food at this restaurant is exceptional. The owner offers generous servings, and the flavors are remarkable. Each Kabob plate comes with homemade hummus, rice, salad, pita bread, and vegetables, and you can choose from chicken, beef, lamb, or salmon. The prices are excellent too! If you love healthy Mediterranean cuisine, this is the spot for you. You won't be let down.
I recently visited the restaurant and wanted to try the lamb kabob, but they were out of it, so I ordered a burger instead. I didn't have high expectations, but once I took a bite, everything changed. The burger was delicious and surprisingly light. I also tried their dessert, which left me wanting more. You can really tell that the chef has a passion for cooking!

I always opt for the Chicken Kabob plate. The chicken is wonderfully seasoned and moist, not dry at all. The rice is excellent, and the salad, along with the dressing, is delicious too. The garlic sauce is the perfect accompaniment for dipping your pita.
The food was incredibly delicious! I ordered the gyro plate without pita or rice, opting for extra salad and hummus on the side, along with the tzatziki sauce, of course. The service was friendly and professional. We will definitely be back!

The Lula Kafta kabob was outstanding. The sumac was fresh and had a lovely floral note. The rice was perfectly moist and tender, even better than what you typically find in many restaurants.
