My review disappeared for some reason so this is a shorter version. Arno and his two or three pastry chefs are amazing. Everything is delightfully fantastic though some things do sell out. Usually I drop in for lunch at the BBQ tent, get some Salsa Dave salsa, and pick up 2-3 days worth of Arno's for desert. If you want to try your French they will speak and even help you. The young lady that is one of his pastry chefs is absolutely wonderful even when I mispronounced her name. Arno helped me with the pronunciation and that extra time learning more about French names was appreciated. He is so super nice and just a genuinely great person! I will say that some of the pastries they make appeal...
Arnaud changed my perspective of French pastry. His skill on pastry is one of the best I have tried perfect fat to sugar ratio. I am comparing to this standard and so hard to find something same or above.Pineapple Coconut, Lemon, Chocolate pistachio, Mirabelle plum and Linzer are must trys!I have also tried Mini pastries for couple of parties, excellento!!!! People loved it! He is very prompt by his online email system to confirm the order. I wish he open more days in a week.
I echo all the comments about the deliciousness of Arnaud's goods. Fruit tarts, croissants, choux buns, etc. You won't be disappointed in anything unless you don't like buttery delicacies that are just the perfect sweetness. The thought that he sells his wares at local outdoor markets is crazy. Good for us that's his love.

Arno was once the pastry chef at the French Embassy, and it really shows in his work! I'm sure they regret his retirement a few years back. If you find yourself at Gilbert's Corner, make sure to start with the ribs at The Pit Stop Barbecue, right next to Arno’s. They serve the best ribs in Northern Virginia!
I had an exceptional chocolate and pistachio tart that I will definitely be buying again. The chocolate croissants were also quite good. The owner was very friendly and wonderful.
Amazing prices for an unforgettable experience! These are truly some of the best pastries I've ever tasted. You have to check it out!
