Aro was really disappointing. Appetizers were OK, however the chips they brought for the guacamole were underwhelming. How can you get chips wrong people? Mashed potatoes were made from powder and tasted terrible. Achiote fish was undercooked. and the so called seafood paella had the consistency of a risotto, the flavors were good and the portion generous. All of the vegetables were cooked unevenly and I can't really tell if they had been previously frozen or not. I have been having tres leches cake for 40 something years and this one was, without doubt, the worst one I've ever had. Completely dry. It had probably been sitting for days. Aro Latin deserves all five stars! The vibrant atmosphere, exceptional service, and delicious dishes make every visit memorable. Their birria tacos are a flavor explosion—tender, juicy, and perfectly seasoned, served with a rich, savory consommé for dipping. The hibiscus cocktails are equally impressive, with a perfect balance of tartness and sweetness, making them refreshingly delightful. Their innovative take on traditional Latin flavors is truly outstanding. The outstanding service and lively music further enhance the overall dining experience. The food and selections on the Social Hour menu are excellent, although some items can be very spicy. I enjoy spice, but my dining partner can't handle it. The server should advise patrons about particularly spicy foods. We originally were going to sit indoors. There was only a smattering of people with one woman seated at the bar talking loudly on her cell phone. The acoustics are horrible to top it off. We opted for the outdoor seating. Food and drink are definitely a 5+. We will return, but we will sit outside.
Tavin should definitely be nominated as one of the best bartenders in the world! He creates cocktails that keep customers coming back to Aro Restaurant. I had a delightful fruity cocktail (which doesn’t have a name), but it includes Mezcal, and I have to say, thank you Tavin for making the best cocktail in California! So, head over to Aro Latin and enjoy, but remember to be kind to your liver!

Decent food in Pasadena, a bit overpriced for what you get. The Baja tacos were pretty good. We sat outside, which was nice. Staff was friendly but service was slow when we went and they never came back to fill our waters.
Valentines dinner. Service was great. The somm brought me two red wines ti try so I could puck my favorite. You just don't see this kind of service anymire, anywhere. Food was great too. Highly recommended location.

My family really enjoys this restaurant during happy hour. The staff is friendly, and there's a wide variety of options to suit everyone's tastes.
