I ordered a chicken skewer with a jacket potato, when half way through the meal I cut into the potato to find a large pocket of soil, the potato obviously hadn’t been washed properly! This Sandy gritty soil made it impossible to continue eating, so I complained to the waiter who stated that it wasn’t soil but charcoal off the BBQ! He returned to the table some 10 minutes later with some fries ! As my complaint wasn’t being taken seriously and I couldn’t get the attention of any staff, I carried the meal to the bar and told them I couldn’t eat it and I wasn’t going to pay for that dish! After hearing some negative reviews from 2 couples from my hotel that ate here, I thought I would give it a try anyway. I didn't book so they sat me at a table in the corner under a tree which was lovely, but I could feel the midges biting me as soon as I sat down. My food was lovely as I went for the salmon which was more affordable than the steak and had a lovely glass of sangria. I would have stayed for a desert and another drink, but got fed up with being bitten so couldn't wait to get out of there. Some citronella candles are a must near the trees. I'm now back in the UK and still itching.
What a great place in such a surprise can you go through the bar out into the garden and it’s amazing so peaceful relaxing and beautiful food was excellent. I had the steak. My friend had the seabass vegetables were perfect wine was great that accompanied the meal stuff going to be more attentive Would definitely recommend to anyone. Wishing to have a lovely evening with family or friends would definitely return
This place is a hidden gem, looks like a small bar from the front, but when you walk through to the eating area you find the secret garden which is amazing. The food was excellent, we had steak and kebab and some very nice wine. Friendly service and will definitely visit again when we return to Mijas pueblo.
