I was quite disappointed with my visit to Arthur Treachers Fish Chips. The fish was dry and grainy on the inside, while the outside was greasy. There was little to no flavor. To make matters worse, the soda machine was broken, so I couldn't get a drink. When it came to condiments, the staff didn't ask for my preferences and just tossed a handful of packets into the bag, including ketchup and vinegar, which felt wasteful. Additionally, I noticed that after using their phones, they handled the forks, napkins, and condiment packets without washing their hands or wearing gloves. This raises serious health concerns. I won't be returning to this restaurant.
I visited Arthur Treachers Fish Chips hoping for a good fish meal, but I was very disappointed. The food was unappetizing, and when I called to express my concerns, I spoke with a woman who insisted there was nothing wrong. I pointed out that the fish batter was grainy, but she denied it and told me not to return if I wasn’t satisfied. Her defensive attitude was surprising, especially since I was polite. What troubles me the most is that they consider this quality acceptable. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. It’s worrying when a business responds to feedback like this. The fish should never look like that on the inside.
This is the worst place on Long Island's south shore. Avoid this restaurant at all costs. The owner is rude, aggressive, and completely lacking in customer service skills. When I inquired about a portion size, she shouted at me about pricing, even though price was never the issue. She refused to discuss it calmly and started an unnecessary confrontation over chicken and fries. She is inconsiderate and unprofessional. The previous owners were much better, but this current management has ruined the community’s trust. I would rather not eat there or give this place any of my money. Truly the worst spot you can visit, no exceptions.

The French fries were undercooked and freezer burn taste. The popcorn chicken is just different shaped chicken nuggets (processed chicken). I couldn't believe that they offer a chicken pot pie and they showed me that it is a Marie Calendars frozenin the box. They don't even make their own. I do not recommend getting any of the fish products they offer because it is so oldand dry with a bad taste.
The French fries had a boiled texture and tasted as if they had been burnt in the fryer. The popcorn chicken was merely processed chicken nuggets in different shapes. I was shocked to discover that their chicken pot pie was just a frozen Marie Callender’s that came straight from the box—definitely not homemade. I do not recommend any of the fish dishes, as they were old, dry, and tasted awful.
This was my first visit to the East Islip Pudgies and it wasn't a good experience. The pieces of chicken were extremely small and they didn't have any taste. The Selden store chicken was a lot bigger than the East Islip store. I will not be ordering from the East Islip again.
My friend and I tried Arthur Treacher's for fish and chips for the first time, and we were thoroughly impressed. Everything was outstanding. I would definitely recommend it.

This restaurant is amazing! The hush puppies are absolutely scrumptious. We also ordered 30 wings and fries with brown gravy. The wings are massive! I highly recommend it!
