We didn't know it was here until we wondered into the downstairs shop, had a look around and my wife said Let's go and have a coffee upstairs and see what it's like We're so glad we did. A lovely floor café. It was...clean, tidy, quite busy without being noisy and full on. Found a seat very quickly and had lovely Tea, Coffee and cake. The staff were very polite, very nice food displays, so all in all, a very very good first impression, soon to be repeated!
Specifically, I requested that my coffee be served in a ceramic cup instead of a disposable paper cup since my party was sitting at an outdoor table with our dog. Despite this request, our food and drinks were still brought out in to-go containers. While I did not express any issue with this, the staff should have informed me that they were unable to accommodate my request for dine-in service and brought out the take-out containers anyway.
Visited for a quick breakfast. Still limited menu and takeaway but all change Monday Service excellent. So polite and courteous. A real credit. Limited menu still perfectly adequate. Crispy bacon bagel delicious. Peanut butter toast equally lovely. Fine coffee. If you get one of...the two tables on the outside it’s an excellent spot to watch the world go by whilst having a nice breakfast. I love it here.
The food at this restaurant is truly delicious, though it may not be the most humble choice. Everything was well cooked and served piping hot. The drinks were well made and generously sized. However, we did have to wait about minutes after receiving our drinks for our food, specifically the toasties, which shouldn't have taken so long. Despite this, we would definitely visit again! This restaurant is a popular and charming cafe located on the top floor of the magazine heaven. They offer a wide variety of drinks including coffee, tea, and smoothies, as well as cakes and snacks available at the counter. Additionally, they have a small brunch and lunch menu with a few vegan options. The atmosphere is beautifully decorated, creating a lovely ambiance for diners.
I’m a frequent visitor here! Lovely fresh food, helpful staff and dietary requirements clearly labelled on menus etc Best selection locally of gluten free meal/cake options- plus they cater for many other dietary requirements too. Great food choices for young children too- no chicken nuggets...and chips in sight!!
Absolutely love this cafe.Its the only place we eat in whilst visiting Rushden lakes.The food is outstanding,and very good value for money.The staff are friendly and welcoming. I would recommend a visit.
