After reading the comments on this wonderful place,I decided to make a 71 mile trip just to impress my lady lover. I kept her guessing as to where we were heading and when we arrived in Kettering,she looked awfully confused. We pulled in to the “ample “ parking area and parked next to some grass that was free from dog excrement. Went to Asda in Kettering, to their cafe now run by a firm called Compass, what a disappointment, the food was dry and over cooked, the portion would not have fed a teenager. You could count the chips on your plate, the fish was that small and wafer thin there was no fish hardly on it, and the mushy peas were like glue. My granddaughters chicken nuggets were over cooked and struggle to bite them and the few chips she got were either burnt or crispy. Why oh why did Asda give up their cafes, they certainly turned out better food than the rubbish they serve up now, won’t be eating in any more of there cafes while run by this new company. We haven't been to Asda cafe since before the start of the pandemic, we used to go regularly for lunch when we did our shopping. Went in there today what a disappointment, we used to love the sausages in a nap so we thought we would go for them. The bap was doughy cold which made the sausages cold as well, I took 1 bite that was enough, cold claggy horrible. Even my husband couldn't eat his hes not a fussy eater. Won't be going back.
it’s a shame because if the food was actually cooked nice i would come here all the time, there is a lady who works at asda she’s eating, all her food looks fresh, my chips are like rocks which have been cooked ten times, and as for the beans very over cooked and stodgy, i don’t understand, because choking chips and beans takes all of two mins, i’m not expecting five star but it’s just embarrassing Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
Popped in and decided to try a breakfast. Opted for porridge. You fill a pot with hot water at the drinks station. Trouble is the water was not very hot and the porridge didn’t absorb much. More like overnight oats after a while! Cappuccino was also lukewarm and by half way through on the cold side. 5 stars for service. Very polite and courteous. Products I wouldn’t return for.
As I needed a sugar free birthday cake. I spoke to a lovely lady, she was near the Birthday cakes, today Saturday 13th, who was a diabetic, and recommended Madeira cake, dark chocolate, low in sugar, and double cream, lots of knowledge and very helpful. Thankyou again. Fantastic customer service.
I must say Asda have upped their game with the cafe It looks inviting The food is tasty no longer dry and unappealing as it was in past experience Food is freshly prepared Great value If you are in a hurry it may seem slow but worth the wait Good job

Great supermarket with great selection of food. The service is always great, the shelves are always full of food and drink. They always have a good choice of clothes.
