After being seated, were asked politely to move. (A larger party needed our table). We agreed and moved. Would have been nice if they'd comp'd a drink, or sent over a special appetizer as a 'thank you' We both ordered Medium Rare burgers. Her's was right, mine was well done. The fries were old, stale, lukewarm. Their kitchen cannot keep pace with the demand of Sunday Brunch. The server gave us loads of time to chat and have a drink before we finally looked at our menus, it was nice not to be rushed. That's the only reason I give this place anything more than or zero stars I paid for burgers, glasses of rose.
I love this place! The atmosphere on the back patio, the wait staff and the food is excellent. I only wish it wasn't so loud. As time went on and more people arrived, the conversations got loud, and I noticed the music volume was turned up. Loud music, in my opinion, does not make for a more energetic evening, it makes for a noisy evening. We go out to be with people and to talk with people, and loud restaurants force us to yell at each other. I wish restaurants would take notice and chill with the music volume. Nice outdoor space on Main St. in Santa Monica. Good beer selection and generous food portions. The cornbread fritters were delicious. I'm all for dogs at outdoor restaurants but several were barking and lunging at customers. Maybe seat them toward the front and not in the back section.
Wine was just ok. Food was Good but nothing special they also use peanut oil For those with allergies. Who used peanut oil these days with so many allergic kids out there???. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
It was raining so this was the only downside because there are no other seating options but outside. Shishito mac n cheese was delicious! Cocktail were yummy and well made.
I’ve had the pleasure of eating at Ashland Hill three times. I make point to stop in when on the West side. The food is always bomb and our server was a delight.
Simply the best. Everything on the menu is well-crafted and the beer selection is divine. I truly wish there were more restaurants like this.
