I've personally been in search of a new favorite Indian restaurant since the one I went to for years closed about six years ago. ...at long last! I've found it. I had a wonderful experience at Ashoka the Great. The food was delicious and authentic, with a variety of dishes to choose from. I especially enjoyed the chicken tikka masala and the garlic naan. The portion sizes were generous and the prices were reasonable. The restaurant had a breezy and spacious environment, with comfortable seating and nice decor. The service was friendly and attentive, and they had a IPA beer to go with the food. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a great Indian meal in Artesia. Authentic Indian restaurant. We had lamb Curry, chicken butter curry, naan, basmati rice, salty lassi, and mango lassi. You can choose the spicy level from mild, medium and spicy. For us the medium level was spicy enough. Both curry tasted very well. I think cilantro goes well with the curry. While mango lassi was so sweet, salty lassi wasn't sweet at all. That's just mild salty. It's my first time to have a non sweet lassi but I felt it's sweetness slightly after I ate the curry. I think cilantro made it more. This restaurant is very clean and the staff were very kind.

Amazing restaurant, one of the best stops in Artesia for Indian food. We ordered Tandoori chicken, malai kofta and fried rice and everything was flavorful and delicious. I’d highly recommend their tandoori chicken, which surprisingly came in a sizzler plate. Food was not pricey, we were infact surprised by the generous portion sizes for reasonable price and beautiful ambience. The servers were kind and smiling, overall this place has everything you’d generally look for in a restaurant.
Went in for early dinner, very mediocre food. Had high expectations owing to reviews. The chutney stood out, it was greener than grass. Too much food coloring!! The paneer tikka was undercooked. Paneer masala was so orangey in color, again too much food color. Malai kofta was eh. The nans and kulchas were exactly the same, so just order kulchas because what we ate today were not nans. Won’t recommend. The only thing I liked was the outdoor seating.
This restaurant serves traditional Indian Punjabi dishes such as Punjabi lassi, vegetable pakoras, Tandoori chicken, mutton, and other kebabs. However, the Gulab jamun dessert was not worth trying. Overall, the food is delicious and of good quality. The restaurant has plenty of seating and a pleasant ambiance inside.
We absolutely loved this restaurant. A friend and her husband, who is Indian, invited us and we were amazed by the delicious food and generous portions, as well as the variety of vegetarian options. We are already planning to return before leaving for San Francisco.

I really enjoyed this restaurant! The food and service were fantastic. I came here for a retirement lunch with my friends, and they also loved this place. We enjoyed the variety of dishes and the choice of dessert included in the package was recommended.
