This is a great place for lunch. I tried the gumbo and a two-piece catfish lunch plate. While the gumbo was okay, it didn't have the authentic Cajun flavor I was hoping for and tasted a bit like it came from a can. On the other hand, the catfish was fantastic—super crispy—and I really liked the crinkle-cut French fries. I would definitely come back just for the fried catfish. The service was impressive, quick, and the owner was very friendly. The atmosphere is typical of a family-run neighborhood restaurant; it could benefit from some updates, but overall, it's still quite enjoyable.
So good! The food is fresh and I think it's one of the best plates of fried shrimp that I've had! My husband also ordered the fried oysters and said they tasted fresh. We also didn't wait too long for the food, but when we got it, it was hot and fresh. The owner was our waiter and he was super sweet and friendly. Overall, this place is definitely a five stars. We will be back!
Had fried shrimp and tried the egg rolls. The batter for the shrimp was so crispy and perfectly cooked! The staff were so nice and attentive! Don't pass this small diner up!
