Went to Aspect this evening for a drink with my husband. We decided to stay for a meal and both ordered pizzas. When they came, the waitress she said ‘pepperoni?’I said my husband has ordered salami and she said ‘yeah salami’. She then said ‘mushroom and summat!’ I had ordered mushroom, roasted peppers and rocket. Mushroom and ham wasn’t on the menu but the summat that the waitress was referring to was ham! She took the pizza back. No apologies. My husband had to ask her to take his away and bring it back when mine was ready so we could eat together. Myself and my wife were looking forward to a child free evening (very rare), we have eaten/drank/had functions in the past at Aspect. This time the service was awful, the food they brought us was for the wrong table.... I physically handled the plate initially before realizing it was incorrect... once we informed the staff they simply picked it up and took it straight to another table!!! Once we did get our correct food order, the steak was cooked beyond comprehension, I had to ask for a Steak knife and even that struggled, the food was a fair attempt at a Weatherspoons standard but 4x the price. We went to the restaurant for lunch with friends and all we wanted was sandwiches and chips with a coffee or tea. However, we were disappointed with the cheese sandwich, which came on two slices of basic white bread with only 8 chips on the side of the plate. It felt like we weren't getting value for money, as we could easily make the same meal at home for much cheaper. We expected the bread to be more artisanal, rather than store-bought. It seemed that other tables who ordered chips on the side received a larger portion in separate bowls. The server was friendly, but overall, the lunch felt lacking and uninspiring.
Came here last night, Monday 10th April, for our wedding anniversary with our friends. We were given a sea view which was really good as the sun was setting. We all had 3 courses and the food was amazing!! I had the tempura vegetables which were crispy and not at all greasy which can happen. Then to follow blade of beef, wow the beef just fell apart and the vegetables and gravy were really good. After I have the creme brulee with shortbread biscuit. Honestly everything I ate was amazing! Was just visiting Morecambe and fancied a pizza so as I walked along the front I found aspects . Nice small menu and a lovely sunset view on the balcony. The pizza was freshly made with the lightest of dough and smothered in deliciousness! All just the right amount to have you wanting more. The chef has got the Italian touch just right , a touch of fresh basil would have sent me in a frenzy ! Lol. Honestly it’s well worth the money and you’d go back again! Thanks chef for making my visit memorable!
The restaurant has amazing, welcoming staff and excellent service. The focaccia was light and fresh, the salmon roulade was delightful, and the lamb and pork dishes were delicious with generous portions. The desserts, creme brûlée and yogurt panna cotta, were also delicious. I would definitely return to this restaurant. It was quiet during my visit, but I can imagine it would be a great place to dine with views over the sea during the summer.
We had another delightful lunch on the beautiful outdoor balcony with a view of Morecambe Bay! We both chose the homemade Chicken Kiev with char-grilled baby gem lettuce, and it was exceptional! Thank you to Jamie for the excellent service and for providing a cold water bowl for our dog. We also highly recommend trying their delicious Sunday lunches. Overall, a fantastic dining experience!
Three course menu for £70, pre-chosen. All the food was lovely and nice to see that (from a customer view) there appeared to be enough serving staff to do an attentive job. Outstanding food, all 3 courses, waiters are very professional and well mannered, great atmosphere and view, highly recommended, definitely returning, honestly can not fault it. Very reasonable priced. Top quality food.
