At Shibden Mill Inn

We ate here twice. Well, almost. Our first visit was an extraordinary culinary experience, from welcome, to food, to service. We had the chicken liver parfait with Pedro Ximenez, hazelnut, and toasted brioche which was a symphony of flavours, a luxurious start to an unforgettable meal. Tasted out of this world! The 10oz salt-aged sirloin steak was cooked to perfection, offering a juicy and robust taste that satisfied every carnivorous craving. Such a beautiful dining experience for my partners birthday, you can see why the Shibden Mill Inn is rated in the Michelin Guide. The staff were really friendly and warming, the food was exceptional and the the decor was lovely. We opted for the tasting menu which I’d highly recommend and there is the option for a wine pairing too. All in all a lovely evening and we will definitely be back in the future. Ate in the upstairs restaurant area which was pleasant. Service was ok a little clunky and had to make an effort to get the attention of staff, but they were friendly and informative about dishes. Had the taster menu decent portion sizes and good flavours. More fish dishes than meat and 3 different desserts when you include petit fours, which seemed excessive. Relaxed in terms of gap between courses and not feeling rushed. Overall a nice meal, decent wine and reasonably priced at just ofer £200 for a couple.

Now, this is a diamond tucked away. Love the character of the building. Rooms are very nice with wooden beams everywhere (watch your head). The restaurant, bar, and breakfast room are all beautifully decorated. Food and drinks are excellent. The staff are professional, friendly, and helpful...well trained. It's definitely worth a stay. Went for lunch for my wife's birthday with our 2 dogs. Setting is fabulous and the exterior is impressive. The inside is just as impressive feels very atmospheric. The food was as expected first class and the staff were extremely friendly. It is certainly a place to be visited from near or far but if you have dogs remember to book as the space for dogs is limited. Highly recommended. Rooms: 5

Lovely secluded pub with nice outside seating. Inside like stepping back in time. Food and rooms look delightful and appears like a place for a weekend stay for treat or special occasion.
