Profiterole, almond cake and coffee $5.40.<br/ I had to ask them whether they got my order right. Where I’m from a coffee costs that much, but you guys are giving me 2 cakes as well?! I love the suburbs and this is a great little cake shop that is obviously great value for money but makes great cakes as well. You can tell by the constant thoroughfare of people coming in, queuing up and moving on. There aren’t many seats so it seems to be revolving door of passers by.<br/ Nice people working here and very patient as they watched my 5 year old try and make up his mind, lol.<br/
The mini assortment of sweets are phenomenal, I get them EVERY Christmas Eve for my party and they are a hit! Two days ago, I thought I would try the cakes, they honestly were not as good as the mixed sweets, the Black Forest and tiramisu were not good. However the cheesecake, carrot cake, chocolate “mice” (not sure why it’s called that) and the ferrero cake were good! I personally would stick to the mini Greek sweets on the top shelf, those are the hit of the show 10/10!
Delicious food , sweets and wonderful customer service I have been coming here for years and must say they have the best spinach and feta pie I have had . The biscuits, pastries and cakes are also so fresh and delicious Everytime I have come I have always been served by lovely and kind staff . It is always a wonderful experience in Athena cakes for me
Hi every Easter and Christmas I always buy the traditional Greek Easter and Christmas cakes “ as they r so yummy to eat. But every time I drive past this shop I always see the line out the door of the customers waiting to enter this establishment as they have good customer service and beautiful cakes and sweets on display.

Best tasting cakes, tiropites, pastitsio, etc, everything I've tried from Athena's has been amazing, I'm addicted to their paximathia, the best I've tried so far! I eat a kilo per week and drive a good 25min each way to buy them, so worth it!! The staff are lovely and very helpful. Please don't ever change!
Was gifted a box of the almond biscuits. I’d never tried them before and wow! I couldn’t stop eating them! Delicate, a little crunch from the almonds on the outside and chewy on the inside! So moreish! They’re generously sized cookies and I think I ate about 4 before I realised!
I love popping into Athena Cakes whenever I am in Marrickville. I love grabbing a freshly made spanakopita (pictured) or baklava or a bougatsa (pictured). It’s pastries I would never make at home and they are always consistently good! #athenascaleshop
Yum!. Friendly service, insanely cheap, very sweet little old greek ladies every time I've been in and everything in the shop ranks amongst the best sweets I've ever eaten.

Lovely shop with a good range of Greek pastries and cakes. The Greek coffee was good although they could only offer takeaway on the Easter Sunday. The pastries were nice.
Love their cakes especially their baklava. Great decor. Shame it's quite expensive given that staff slave away and get paid below minimum wages.
