This is our go-to casual restaurant in Seal Beach! The ingredients are always fresh and tasty. I appreciate that they offer both indoor and covered terrace seating, depending on the weather. We were never disappointed when dining with family, kids, or groups at Athens West! We've tried most of the menu, but you can't go wrong with the Gyro plate, which comes with generous portions of gyro meat, Greek salad, and orzo pasta, all accompanied by tzatziki sauce. Yum! With its fresh ingredients, great location, and friendly staff, you'll definitely enjoy Athens West too!
I highly recommend this restaurant! I discovered it on Yelp and was drawn in by the excellent reviews. I was not disappointed at all. The food was amazing, the service was friendly, the atmosphere was inviting, and everything was clean. The prices were reasonable, and the location was perfect. My husband was even the one who insisted we give it a try!
Though you'll pay a little above $10 a person, the portion is large and the food is exceptional. Add sitting outside in the patio where the beach and pier are about a block away and you have a winning combination. If your into authentic and healthy, yeah, this place has some of that too.
This was our second visit, and the food was fantastic—definitely a 5 out of 5! The gyro plate and chicken gyro were excellent, and the salad and fries paired perfectly with the meal.

The Mediterranean food here is absolutely delicious. I love the gyros, hummus, and gyro fries—everything is so flavorful! The portions are generous, and the service is fast.

I really enjoy the gyro pita and spicy feta. Parking is simple. There is a lot right next to the restaurant. It’s small but food is great.
