Another speakeasy in Montreal, what a pleasure especially when the service is as incredible as the one I received there. First, you have to find the place, look for a door hidden in a little alley. You can not miss this special door with all the tags on it. Then enter in this dark and cute spot to find some nice pink couches (I just loved them, so comfy). The waitress a young lady, dynamic, enthusiastic, will give you a menu, offer you to take a sit wherever you want, you feel so welcomed. Then she comes back to explain the drinks, the list is diversified, everyone will find something they could enjoy. She will ask you questions about your taste, your favorite alcohol, what you usually take...
This is a hidden bar on Atwater street very close to crossroads with Notre Dame. Entrance through a small alleyway that has a velvet rope and strange door with an Indian painted on it.Once in, the atmosphere is so vibrant, lots of couples seated on couches (late 20s and 30s). Bar tenders very sweet and the cocktails a bit expensive but really special.I took the smoke show cocktail, which is served in a plastic container filled with hickory smoke. Is blueberry and blackberry themed. Cost me 20$ with tips, but is good fun. Once is paying for the drink and the atmosphere.If you are in that part of town, and feel like a drink alone or with your special one, this is a great place.Recommended!
This is a very good place.It is located in the trendy Atwater area in Montreal. It is at the back of an alleyway and if you don't know where you are going, you will totally miss it as there is no sign pointing to it.The entrance door has some graffiti artwork. Once you open the door, you are transported to a totally different place. The ambiance is very cool and makes you feel you are in a movie set.The food is very good. We tried the frog legs, burgers and the pasta with foie gras. The chef is the same of the famous Foiegwa so you won't be disappointed.I will totally go back to this place.
If you are looking for an underground looking little bar with an exclusive repertoire of rare liquors, this is the place. Though a little pricy for the common cocktails, you will find exotic rhums and alike that you have rarely seen abroad. Try the smoke show. Wandered in here after a delightful dinner at Joe Beef. Keep that in mind when you are planning a night in Griffin town. LIttle velvet rope situation outside. Bouncer/Doorman, Antoine, was gracious and engaging. Bar staff were fantastic. Fun crowd. I was in there on a Fri Night. I drank all their Gin.
I visited with my boyfriend after dinner, we had cocktails and a dessert. The food comes from Foigwa restaurant, the tarte tatin was so delicious! The bar has a very good ambiance, bar tenders were nice to us and music was good. I will go back with friends or at the bar for sure!
Super cute and cozy spot to enjoy great drinks. The lace is small but cozy. Clientele 30+.Great service. probably one of the best tartar I had in a long time. Note that the food is prepare at the Fowega restaurant - cuisine is shared between the two place. Must go!
