We discovered this restaurant which is exceptional. A large room with exposed beams, pretty large, well-decorated tables which are spaced apart and thus provide privacy. As for meals, we were delighted with our choices. Alsatian specialties like the Bouche à la Reine, the Alsatian pâté, the minced poultry with Riesling, everything was excellent and tasty, a beautiful presentation. The profiteroles are generous and the tart of the moment is a treat. The service is careful and discreet. We recommend and will come back during our next visit to the region.
This restaurant deserves to be more known, the second time we go, always welcome, calm atmosphere, choice of simple menus is of good taste, some can say that it is expensive but the quality is present in the plate and for those who love wine you will be served because there is only good wine. Six of us came for dinner after the end-of-year holiday rush. We all enjoyed the dishes (bouchettes à la reine, delicious sauerkraut, poultry fricassee and veal escalope), the wines and the great kindness and professionalism of the 2 waiters, whose names I unfortunately do not know, one of whom newly arrived. Situé au centre de Wintzenheim, à proximité immédiate de l'église ce restaurant porte très bien son nom. Le père, la mère et le fils travaillent avec passion pour la satisfaction générale de leurs clients. Un peu méconnu car loin des circuits touristiques il mérite largement un détour. Parking facile.
