Restaurant located nearly opposite church in centre of Moncontour. Plenty of parking in street leading up hill to restaurant and a town centre car park few hundred metres away. Mainly a pizza and galette restaurant. Only had galettes for lunch but they were excellent and the best in a 2 week trip across Britanny. Place was run just by a husband and wife team who worked incredibly hard to deliver the lunch service. Only a few restaurants in Moncontour but well worth a lunch visit on a tour of the medieval hill top town. Read a notice outside the restaurant at time of the review that owners were selling up at end of month so hope the standards are maintained for any future visit by new owners.
Looking for a quick lunch in the centre of Moncontour, and right in the middle is this small restaurant. Very welcoming proprietor, prompt service and very good food. Galettes to start, served with wonderful chips and green salad, and crepes to finish. Whole place immaculate, Good coffee, very pleasant rose (wine of the month), and the whole was outstanding value. Couldn't really ask for much more!
Only regret is not trying the blini burger which looked amazing. Crepes hot, light and fresh. My younger brother said it was the best crepe he's ever tasted and that's a real complement for someone who has tasted quite a few. Reasonably priced and seemed to be a popular spot with the locals. Village is really nice for a stroll around though I recommend booking if wanting to get a table...
Easy to park outside, and a very enjoyable and tasty Breton lunch galettes and cider, all well done, despite our arriving at almost the end of lunch service. Comments from other reviewers are all reinforced by our own visit. Well worth a detour to a pretty village. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
Group of four visiting on a very busy (inside the restaurant) Sunday afternoon. Charming interior, efficient staff and varied menu. The wives had galettes, the husbands had the homemade pasta. Both choices were delicious and nicely presented.
very good restaurant, staff is really very helpful and welcoming. We took a cake and a pizza, both with very good products. Just like dessert pancakes (at the chocolate house), a treat!

I was not a fanatic of pasta, I enjoyed these delicious fresh pasta with a real pesto and well-stocked. I recommend.
