the first time we visited this restaurant (especially as it is before our doorstep) and were impressed by the overall standard. we have tried to book for the same evening as it was for a birthday and jubilee dinner (referenced, at the time, at the last, more later), but were unhappy as they were for this night and the following were booked out. finally booked for Saturday night. at the arrival we were greeted by the same woman who obviously remembered us, showed us on our table and then went through the menu options (in very good English) for us. we had no appetizers and there was a bit of delay before our meal arrived, but we had aperitifs and beside courts to entertain us. considering the...
Recommended by our holiday home folder, this restaurant was only a five minute drive away. A day after our wedding anniversary we headed her with my sisters babysitting for us. The welcome was very friendly (it seems we spoke French so well that we were...given French menus when English ones were available). The set menu was only €27 but the food was exquisite. In the U.K. this type of meal would cost a fortune but here it seems incredibly cheap. Sardines and beef terrine for starters, beef and fish of the day for mains and apple tart and pistachio and raspberry for pudding. Tasty wines and excellent service cannot recommend enough.
As a lot of local restaurants were closed for annual holidays so we were recommended this restaurant in Lucon. It is really charming, good location close to the town with good on site parking. The staff were extremely friendly and speak English if required. The...menu had good choices and wasn't overly expensive. The food was first class and very well presented, will definitely visit again . It also has a hotel attached which could be useful.
Gorgeous setting, lovely feel and very helpful, polite staff and the food was amazing! 3 courses for approximately €27 and all very fine dining . Varied menu with local specialities and traditional food.
