We had a great experience in the Microbrasserie Au Frontibus! The beers were very unique and very tasty. We ordered the sampler who was a good way to experience some of the different beers. In addition, I ordered a Sour Currant beer. I drink a lot of sour beer and this one up here on my list! We also ordered a record of Nachos, but they were swallowed before I got good pictures. You were great! They have a good meal for a brewery. We also accidentally ordered the tortar, due to miscommunication with our French. It was really a happy accident as it was delicious. The server was a bit rude about our seating arrangement. We tried the onion soup, but it wasn't enjoyable, and the beers were just mediocre. It was disappointing that we couldn't select our own beers to sample from the tasting flight. Out of all the breweries and cideries we visited—more than a dozen—this was the only one that didn’t allow us that choice, which was quite disappointing. Additionally, the place felt run-down. Overall, I don't think it's worth a visit.
This was undoubtedly the highlight of the breweries we visited during our tour around Gaspé, and that's saying a lot considering the competition! We loved the beer, and the food was absolutely fantastic. Our only regret is that we chose to eat at another local restaurant instead of staying here. We should have just stayed! Great beer and great food all in one place!
The service was excellent, and the atmosphere was enjoyable. The decor is quite lovely as well, but we were somewhat let down by the selection of dishes available. Parking is convenient. Just a heads up, the "Putin" on the menu isn't actually brown but rather a BBQ sauce, and it's not mentioned anywhere. Despite that, the dish I ordered was quite good.
Fantastic Belgian style brewed beers, great service and excellent food. One of the best places we were on our journey through East Canada. The triple (strong blond beer) and double raspberry (dark) are particularly recommended!
