We booked here for dinner after reading great reviews of this place. Unfortunately for us on our night it was an absolute disaster. The service was extremely poor(not rude) and the food exceptional average. The meat served were fatty and inedible, the service totally lacking....We were sat down with people and were left sitting for a decent amount of time without menus or drinks service. When they did come around they brought menus. The rest of the evening just became more and more frustrating. The restaurant was busy but not full but the staff were inadequate. Au Mazot is a cosy restaurant with extremely friendly and welcoming staff. Our positive experience began while still in the UK as somehow the restaurant managed to decipher my garbled voicemail and returned my call to book a table! We wanted to celebrate my birthday with a raclette and were not disappointed. The food was generous and delicious and he was presented with a dessert complete with sparkler, a blast of Stevie Wonder’s ‘Happy Birthday’ and a Kinder Egg all achieved without being too cheesy or mortifying for him! We will certainly return next time we are in VT.

A really superb meal, excellent food with a wide variety of innovative dishes and local specialities, Cosy decor, attentive and friendly staff, prompt service and portions big enough for our hearty appetites (sharpened by a long day on the slopes). Not cheap but excellent value...for money we had two starters, four mains, a bottle of wine and a cider and it came to euros. Nice little complimentary marc de Savoie Schnapps) on snow to finish.

We eat here on New Years eve with a group of guys. The food atmosphere and most of all the hospitality and service was outstanding. Being New Years eve there was a set Menu with multiple courses which were all fantastic. We also drank...alot of nice red wine which was recommended to us by our server and turned out to be fantastic. Came here for a family dinner very crowded place and a reservation is needed. We had steak filet, ferme lises pork and lamb shank. The pork was sooooo good served in a iron pot. Lamb shank also served the same way needed...a touch more salt. The big hit was the gratin dauphinois- potatoes in cream basically. Soooo tasty! Service was friendly and price reasonable. Highly recommend.

The food was nice and the service was good. It is very big and in high season it gets very busy so it’s incredible how they manage to make it work. You see that they work very hard. Well done!

Greeted with warm smile. Service here is excellent. Food is fabulous. We had the mushroom fondue, lamb shank and the duck breast. My favourite was the duck breast.

Delicious meal for One of the best I have had for a while. Lamb and beef were great, even the spinach which i normally avoid was exqusite.
