We eat fishermen from time to time. we never had a bad time, but sometimes it can be a little boring. I must say, however, that last week we had an exceptional meal. The entrance was a chicken salad. The chicken was mellow and succulent, the delicious vinaigrette, and it's only a great deal that I was able to resolve to leave some rice (I'm supposed to be on the diet, see you). The portion was huge! the main sausage dish with mustard sauce and cooked cabbage was also sensational. sausage was really delicious - not too salty as many French sausages. That's what we could call a pretty basic, but we loved it. the menu was 13,50 euros for a 4-course meal. the selection was limited to two items for entry and main dish, then cheese and some desserts. food was well prepared and generous portions plus a carafe of wine included. you are welcomed by the owner, who also makes all the waiting. the restaurant was busy enough during our visit, but the service was not a problem. If you are looking for a good value for money, a good cuisine and a good atmosphere, look no further.
three of us staying locally at melrand we were looking for an authentic French restaurant and we found it! nicholas welcomed us - we had the choice of home menu of two main / pudding dishes) although it was quite complete, we were well treated and we did not have long to wait - carafe of wine (litre) free cheese crazy price 35 euros for the incredible value lot we will certainly return there when we return to the place. we then went to make a nice walk on the blave river to the island / dam - perfect place
we arrived in a group of 8 without reservation at lunch time and were warmly welcomed by nicholas who seems to do everything! Incredible place! It is not a huge choice of menu but we all had an entry, a main dish, a dessert and cheese with drinks and free wine - red and pink. . . not an avare carafe either !! :) the invoice amounted to 82 € for 8 people. We are here several times during our stay, we would have done more but no time. Which great place, you can say that it's good according to the number of local people who go there to eat - the place is really crowded every day. the owner (nico?) is really friendly and all the service is very effective. If you need more bread, water wine, they immediately replenish it, at no additional cost. He also told me that the tip I left was too much - refused to take everything.
We had lunch here during our holiday in the region. the owners are quite a character and have welcomed us very well. flat menu of the day of good value for money, limited choice but nevertheless good food at a very reasonable price. the only negative point is that the garden is quite basic. being so close to the river a pretty garden would be a huge asset.
I have just been here today - 11 of us have received a superb 4-course meal, classical French with wine pichetes and generous portions; the pork terrine in the entrance was well balanced, the calf was well judged and the English cream apple pie was a real highlight. perfect configuration for our afternoon bike ride, and highly recommended!
It's my second visit and I'm sure it won't be the last one! the excellent house kitchen is served in a friendly setting by the owner who makes you feel like he's known you for years! the lunch menu is of an excellent value for money, so make sure to arrive early. at the Fishermen's Rendez-Vous is worth the detour for sure. I fell on this restaurant by chance and I'm glad. There's a lot of people at noon, so come early if possible. food and service are very good. limited choice but excellent quality ratio price. 4 dishes, wine and coffee included 12.30 euros. the owner is charming, friendly, attentive and generous. I came back a few times.
