We ordered moules from the menu but were presented with a bill with each item individually priced. When we questioned this, and the waiter (who appeared to pretend he didn't speak any English) said that our meal wasn't on the menu, our French wasn't adequate...enough to complain. The house wine was charged at 13.50e for 50cl which was more than we'd paid during our 3weeks in France Just make your order clear if you are requesting one of the items on the menu boards. Toilets are on the first floor, which for someone like myself, with a slight mobility problem, is very difficult.
We arrived in Cancale on a bus from St. Malo and asked until we saw Au Rocher de Cancale. While the sun was not above the farm arm, we decided that we were in France, and a glass of wine would everyone... go down well. We sat outside on chairs and a table overlooking Baie de Mont Saint-Michel, who slept up the midday sun after a cool start. It was so pleasant that a glass of wine slipped into two. Costs for four glasses 17,50 Euro.
We ordered a simple meal of Moule and Frites and Omelette with salad. Both arrived after a short waiting period and were made fresh. The service was good and everyone was polite and friendly. It is a small restaurant in an old beach plot and the...toilet is located on the first floor, so can be a little difficult for some people; but it was very clean. The price for both meals was reasonable and fair.
The restaurant is located directly on the water. Sitting at a table, you can slowly observe the high flood or low flood, depending on time. The selection of seafood is very diverse. We took crabs and lobsters. Everything is very delicious. Beautiful presentation of dishes, attentiveness...ready ready to help you cope with unknown seafood. Place is worth your attention.

Good service. basic but well done food. Beautiful place and much better than some of the biggest options on each side. Sit down, take a gin tonic. order simple dishes and enjoy the view.
Reasonable prices, a modern setting, a high service, and simply delicious in the plate( lots of homemade preparations, great bonus !! .. We really had a good time.
arrested for a welcome coffee and pancakes in the middle of the morning. Our dog was welcome on the terrace outside. reasonable prices for what we had.
Great lunch for big friends. A vegan meal at short notice. Everything very happy with the food, especially the Moule.
