This was our third visit to Auberge Baker and our first in over six years. The restaurant never disappoints and, honestly, is as good as it gets. It is just as we remembered with fabulous food, exquisitely prepared, in the setting of a romantic inn. We made reservations for a mid-week evening dinner meal for four. We were seated promptly. Our server, noticing we spoke English, was very polite and handled our order quickly. We had venison, certified local, and the filet (rare) was one of the best I have ever had; juicy, red and warm. very pleasant stay in the small cottages of the hostel baker . everything is thought for the night with a small terrace two sun loungers a small corner of paradise 20 minutes from quebec. here we dive into the past because obviously this house is very proud of its ancestors. I have been to the Baker Inn many times and it's never desappointed mpe. With my girlfriend only, wow this place is romantic....or with my two sons (10-12 years old) it was perfect. The service, the food quality, the room space, the fireplace, everything is very nice....i could stay there all year long ;-) If you are looking for quality, and a quiet place, this is it, don't search further. 20 minutes from downtown Quebec city, 15 minutes from ski resort (Mont-St-Anne) this place is a real monument in the area. If you don't stay there, at least try the restaurant if you love to eat well. Price is fair, not cheap but worth every penny. For the cheap people, there is a Mc Donald 5 minutes down...
we stayed at a family of 8 people.1071 dollars for the 3 nights. very quiet accommodation. close to the grocery store. You are also next to the Montmorency Falls.Y stay 4 days was the ideal because we were able to take the time to visit the town of Quebec, the Montmorency Falls and the Quebec Aquarium, and the cayon ste anne. inside the accommodation you will find all the amenities you need. only negative point: we thought we had the garden with seen on the st laurent. misfortune the photo on the net is well hidden from showing the highway that passes right across and the railway track also. Came for dinner during the March snowstorm. Had the entire restaurant to myself. The building dating to the 1700s takes you back in time. The food emphasizes local ingredients, is expertly prepared and artfully presented. It was snowing as I arrived. By the time I left, in between courses, my server even cleared a path from the door of the restaurant to my parked vehicle. That was a first. If you are in the Beaupre area, treat yourself to a meal at Auberge Baker!
very interesting restaurant in a house full of history. the staff is welcoming and friendly. an interesting menu offering the possibility of having a menu discovery or gastronomic. the beef tartar in the entrance is succulent with a careful and refined presentation. same with the main beef net. and excellent burnt cream that burns in front of us. a rural environment that also makes us get the stress of the big city. to visit.

Wow she's a beautiful inn! The ladies are super nice. The service is great and the atmosphere too. ideal to get out of the way we go back in time. Drive a ways on Chemin Royale to get to this restaurant and inn. The road really sets the mood. Very old feel, very attentive service. Bi-lingual as well. Part of the menu has traditional Québécois home cooking. That was very good and large portion. The bread was a country white. It was a little dry. We almost went back a second time, because we enjoyed it so much.
