If you are staying anywhere within 30 miles of Saillac,don't miss a meal at this restaurant. It's in very rural surroundings and you might be forgiven for thinking you had missed it as it is in a slightly hidden spot in the hammeau of Le Clos, just off the road between Saillac and Le Projet. We reserved a table for dinner on a Thursday and by chance the other guests were all anglophones. Thierry, the amusing and engaging proprietor, addressed the assembled company in excellent English and explained the mysteries of the menu which his wife, Rebecca was cooking. We went back to Thierry's restaurant for the first time in a couple of years. The weather was unpromising as it was cold and wet, but the restaurant was warm and inviting. As always Rebecca had prepared a delicious meal (I had rabbit for my main course). At this time of year (late September) the auberge is open on Friday, Saturday and Sundays only.The price is remarkably economicalI cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough. Not to be missed
Depuis plusieurs années mon épouse et moi nous venons à La grange du Cros et nous y attirons des amis. C'est toujours un plaisir: apéritif dans le jardin puis dîner dans "la grange", lieu très bien aménagé pour oublier la forte chaleur extérieure. Thierry présente le menu qui allie recherche culinaire et produits du terroir mijotés par son épouse. Une étape à ne pas manquer lorsque l'on a la chance de venir en Quercy.
This was my 6th meal at the Auberge de la grange du Cros, and every time has been a wonderful experience. The starter, main, and dessert selections are always creative and tasty, and the cheese tray is out of this world with a fantastic selection. As an added bonus the owner, Thierry, can carry an inordinately large number of wine glasses. We'll be back!

An amazing place lost in the Lot countryside. Thierry, the host welcomes you with such kindness and the restaurant is really cosy and chill with candle light. I recommend to go at night. The food is really tasty and made by Rebecca, à great Cook ! All in all it's a wonderful place, I will definitly go back there !
Our favourite restaurant in the area. Thierry's hospitality and welcome is without compare, Rebecca's food is always interesting and full of flavour. They always use local produce which is a real plus. It has a magical atmosphere set as it is in an old stone barn.Highly recommend to everybody
Went here last night, was one of the best evenings out I've ever had. The food was amazing, with a very simple menu of which everything was delicious. The drinks were great and the buzzy, persona atmosphere topped it all off perfectly. Am returning for NYE and can't wait
This must be the best restaurant in the region. It's not the first time we visited but i was suprised again by the quality of the food and the great ambiance. The service is very friendly. We had a wonderful evening.
