Auberge de la Grangette

Dropped in here after a walk around the top of Mont D'Or, and we were pleasantly surprised that this was not a tourist rip-off place (given the location). It was a beautifully warm and sunny day so we sat on the terrace and watched the ravens, buzzards and cows. The menu is simple offering the usual local specialities, and we both had mushroom crustini to start which were very flavourful, followed by Morteau salad (not ambitious with the salad, but very pleasant) and tarte Myrtille. Portions were a good size, service was friendly and efficient, and the toilets were clean.

Unique location by the road leading to the Mont d'Or, the local summit that culminates at c. 1,460 meters (don't miss the view! . The restaurant serves local products (sausage, ham etc. and the food is simple and rustic but enjoyable. Great terrace (partly shaded with a view. Fairly inexpensive. Highly recommended subject to good weather.

Great location fro a good Family meal with a menu that reflects the countryside. the terrace seating was perfect for our two families with both being able to sit together with ease. It is one of my favourite locations on the Mont D'Or and the service was as always very good with our server being able to help our friends in English.

Dans un beau chalet typique de la région, vous dégusterez des plats typiques simples servis avec le sourire et un accueil chaleureux comme habituel chez les jurassiens.Situé sur la route qui mène au mont d'or, l'escale parfaite après une bonne randonnée !

Après une belle ballade sur les pentes du Mont d'Or, un arrêt à l'auberge de la Grangettes s'impose.Bon accueil, personnel serviable et disponible.Une table simple aux recettes purement franc comtoises, et les bonnes glaces maison à déguster.
