THE HORROR ! COCKROACH RUNNING ACROSS THE PLATE!! AND FOOD POISONING!!! A friend took me to this restaurant that I didn't know. The restaurant presents well, the menu is really tempting. 1/ First the hot smoked salmon! I am the only one of us to have eaten a salmon canape which was at room temperature and which gave me serious food poisoning the following days because I ate nothing else. 2/ then we were served our very well presented starters and there!!! A COCKROACH on the plate coming out of the decoration!! We left immediately!! I was in Paris this Sunday June 3 and had a reservation at this restaurant that is distant about 30 miles from Paris. I rent a car to be there at 1,30 pm the time of my reservation. When I arrived there at 1:15 pm the maitre d'hotel came crying very nervous saying they were fully booked. I said I had a reservation and he said he had no more table available at the restaurant neither outdoor. I insisted very calm and easily that I had a reservation and he said crying OK I will find you a table and showed me a table completely separated from the restaurant in a small room near the kitchen I guess. Place which was recommended to us by our son, cozy welcome, very serene (yet a large table for a birthday on site) delicious and refined cuisine, carefully priced, in relation to the dishes served. Fast, efficient service, without being rushing, at our own pace. We will come back with complete confidence and in turn we will introduce you to this place. No shortage of places to eat in the area, but this must be one of the very best. Nice ambiance, very quiet on night we visited, but apparently very busy at weekends . No surprise, as food was very good with generous portions and good variety and price of menus. Charming staff and very helpful. Wine list a bit over-priced, but otherwise an excellent dinner. a gastronomic address that does not demente over the years. hospitality, setting, service and of course cooking is confirmed in excellence. certainly the best table in the region.
overall a very good kitchen, menu or à la carte, service to the small guard and beautiful room. We had a very good night.
