This restaurant is only open at lunchtime. It is simple and very French. Most customers were local employees having their lunch. But it is a proper restaurant - not a 'greasy spoon' . St Desert is not a tourist destination. As visitors we were welcomed but in a low key way. The house wine on the table is not meant for us. Givry 1er cru by the glass was lovely. A set menu - with limited choices. Good food, economical and practical. . It seemed good - of its class. This is not fine Burgundy dining but I would have no hesitation in going again. A convenient stop if travelling along the N80 Chalon to Montceau.
arrival by chance for dinner on the holiday route, we had a very pleasant moment. The burger is gonna fall! The welcome is warm. we had nothing reserved to sleep and it was the boss of the hostel who moved to find us a bed and breakfast not far from the desert, passing several phone calls! we will keep a very good memory of the table at the reception, and we will not fail to stop again if our road passes by there exit from the A6 motorway nearby! Thank you again for your welcome and dedication!
