We came here for my birthday meal after a lovely morning kayaking. We sat outside and waited for 25 minutes for someone to come back with the menu. Finally after 35mins we had the table cloth and after 45mins someone came to ask for the order. There were only other 5 tables. We were a couple of vegetarians and a couple of meat eaters. When making the order we ask for something vegetarian for us 2 as we have been doing for the past 1 month we have spent in the area without problems. The chef refused to make us a salad without meat or an omelette or anything. We were told that all we could have was a GREEN salad (chef refused to add anything to it) and chips which are cooked in duck fat. The w...
The wine and food were very pleasant and the prices reasonable. The menu was quite extensive. The town sadly suffers from its main street being used as a thoroughfare for big vehicles, but this wayside in reflects the charm and quality of a more leisurely past. Anyone who likes history and architecture (including mosaics from two completely different periods) should stop here and see the abbey. Anyone who enjoys French country cooking should also spend some time at the auberge.
Nice little bar near the Abbaye and Monastere.We had a pleasant conversation with some locals, with a combination of French and English we had a pleasant conversation talking from WW11 to our current travels.Thankyou to the 2 older gentleman for an interesting conversation - tip to those that visit Rugby and Paris good topic of conversation. The bar staff were attentive and provide excellent service and warm friendly feel.
Good morning, We were very disappointed: service too long despite few customers. Meat full of nerves and all our dishes tasted the same. The rosé put in an empty container without ice cubes. Every year I enjoy roast wood pigeons or salmis… a real treat I also recommend the veal rice, which is excellent. I take this opportunity to greet the boss and his always warm welcome.
Great reception, we were many, we spent a good time around a good meal for a very correct price: 24€ enters, dish and dessert. A little detour from our road worth it.
