there was a simple mistake from our agent who set the address of this establishment in our tour instead of another. we wait outside for 30 minutes, because this place is not open until 1700. when we approached the mozen, he went ballistic and. because we had no reservation here. we showed him our booking and he pointed out that (if the name of the auberge was on our sheet) was the phone number of another device and we should call there as there was a mistake. ok, so a mistake, then a nice young lady passed and the patron started screaming at the tip of his vote. that's in a small village where everyone knows, he accused himself of stealing his customers. he cried her and there was a lot to w...
We booked this Auberge to stay while trekking GR10. Our surprise was huge when on arrival we were told that they didn't put on their system our booking (booked via e-mail 1.5 months in advance and transfered the deposit) and they were full for that night. They offered to stay in Gite not far away (which was TERRIBLE - hard foam matresses, no pillows!). They still were ready to feed us dinner and breakfast and offered wine and beer and to wash/dry our clothes free of charge. Dinner was amazing - not communal as we were used to, but served individually and tailored to diet. The owners are a really nice couple and they did everything to accomodate us as best they could. Stopped in Py on a day out, up the mountain and found this place initially just for a coffee but was taken with menu so stayed for lunch . Everything was cooked fresh and had a different taste to it . It took some time to get our meal but it was only the owner cooking and there was other people as well but worth the wait . I showed up here with friends one afternoon when the restaurant was technically closed but the host was able to prepare really delicious light lunch for us of local produce. The unfussy, very kind service and great food made for a memorable experience.
