Hostess was friendly.For starters, we had a Carpaccio of Bresola which was average the other a Asparagus with scallion goat cheese & chip. Which was tasty but a little too much scallion, kind of overpowering. We each ordered the same plat which was the house specialty, chicken roasted over a wood burning fire.While we thought it was good we felt it was a little bland and should have been better @ 39EU a person for ¼ chicken. We were walking in Vence looking for a place to eat and found this place. It was a late arrival but we were told we could stay for lunch.Lucky us! The food was amazing and we were so well treated, I can't recommend enough. And the view!I had rocket salad with fois gras and truffles and then veal. My husband had tartare de asparagus and lamb. So good! Best food we had during our short stay in Saint Paul.
I read that L'Auberge des Seigneur is the only one within the old city. It is charming. The hosts are friendly, gracious and accommodating. We could walk anywhere and had a ball exploring the old city. The restaurant food is good and so convenient after a long day of sightseeing. The comfortable, clean rooms were just right for us. I can hardly wait to return!
We've always been too rushed or on an uncertain schedule that we've neglected to call ahead for a fire roasted meat. This trip, we vowed to do so and were not disappointed. The open fire roasted chicken was to die for, service was exceptional, and the venue, in the walls of historic Vence, is simply grand. This is a great idea when visiting the Côte d'Azur.

The BEST chicken you will ever eat! You have to order chicken before you go because they only roast enough for the evening! Very fresh! These people work HARD and you can feel their passion! Hard to get in, so don't expect to just walk in one evening and get a table. You eat outdoors, and it is LOVELY, but be sure to go inside because it is charming!
This restaurant has been serving delicious roasted meats, chicken since 1941. We have been coming here for 30 years - and while the menu has changed to be less heavy - it is still consistently delicious food with an amazing view outside or cozy interior if you eat indoors.
The relatively new terrace at Auberge des Seigneurs offers both good food and a spectacular wiew - if you get the right table. As usual, both service and food are elegant in this traditional restaurant. And there is lots of air where you sit with a wiew over the valley.
The venue is great. Old, warm, handsome and inviting. Service was warm and efficient. The food was good, not spectacular but honest well prepared decent food. The price was very reasonable.
