Auberge du Chateau

L'organisation au niveau du service n'était pas au top ce soir là. Nous avons reçu les apéros en même temps voire après (pour certaines) les entrées. Il y a eu des longueurs entre entrée/plat et plat/dessert. Et ma glace avait été décongelée/recongelée (il y avait des petits grains). Par contre la viande et le saumon excellents avec des frites maison, le plat était un régal.

What can I say, the Auberge du chateau was a needed arrival in Loudenville and boy did it deliver. The atmosphere is very warm and welcoming with an open fire on which meat in often cooked in front of you. The food is brilliant mountain grub with a protein packed menu that also caters to vegetarians, a feature not often seen in this part of france.

Excellent menu, great service and wonderful food. The meats are cooked on a fire which is open to the restaurant and the steaks the Porc noir were superb. Lovely garden area for outdoor dining too plus parkig across the road. Highly recommednded.

Beautifully cooked meat in a wonderful barn setting with the chef cooking on open flames in view. I can recommend the lamb and the double burger was a fully enjoyed challenge for my burger connoisseur son. Good wine list too
