Eine Auberge, wie im Bilderbuch. Erreichbar zu Fuss über einen der unzähligen Wanderwege rund um das Hohneck/Kastellberg Massiv oder mit dem Auto direkt vor die Türe. Die Auberge ist aufgeteilt in einen Aussenbereich, sowie das Restaurant (Innenbereich). Im Innern findet eine Bewirtung am Tisch statt, der Aussenbereich ist Selfservice. Die Speisenauswahl ist regional und spartanisch. Neben Gerichten mit Munsterkäse gibt es ein Tagesmenu oder Tagesturt, welche jedoch nicht detaillierter beschrieben werden. Bei den Desserts kann man zwischen Tageskuchen, Fromage blanc, Merinque oder Tageseis wählen. Tolle Qualität der Speisen. Vielleicht sollte man nur nicht vor 15:00Uhr an Wochenenden vorbeis...
I met the Ferme Auberge du Kastelberg on a family lunch. We shared a marcary meal there. The kitchen is good and the rich dishes. The impeccable service is ensured in a good atmosphere. Access to the inn farm is easily made, after driving a road by car on a short distance. It is possible then to choose, to go down with its vehicle just below and to park in the immediate vicinity of the hostel, but a parking is also available higher which then allows to go on foot, a small walk being always pleasant in good weather. Outside, and in clear weather, a superb view is offered on the surrounding summits. A place I highly recommend.
I think this was my favourite 'ferme-auberge ' of all that we tried while in the Vosges. It 's in a great location with fantastic views, and like many others you can reserve a table inside but have to take your chances outside (and it 's also self-service outside). It 's a small menu but with good local things, served very quickly, and with friendly staff even though they were so busy. A great place.

To sum up, we've eaten. Neither bad, nor good, cruel lack of flavors, rawness without seasoning, slices of raw ham so fine as opaque.... Just allow to substantiate The only one is the nice view!
