A slightly bizarre experience we were welcomed warmly, taken to our table, and given a menu for pre dinner drinks. No food menus were brought. We ordered drinks, which arrived, but still no menus! So we asked for them. No wine list brought. So we asked for one. All rather odd. The starters were mixed a bland crab risotto, a rather vinegary tartare, an excellent parfait and a crispy egg which needed to be runnier, but was tasty, if too salty. The odd service continued: three of the four of us had finished do the waiter cleared our plates including the one of our friend who hadn’t finished, who was left holding a cracker in her hand! we had a wonderful birthday dinner here last night. the seasonal set menu was excellent worth and tasty and the wine I was given by the manager was beautiful! the service was also excellent, it is a shame that another customer decided to pull it out, one of the waitresses around her apron, and to complain loudly about everything that the ambiente easily ruined. victor meldrew: next time stay at home!
We went there to celebrate my mum’s birthday, I forgot to mention my mum can’t eat gluten but it was absolutely no problem to accommodate her. Staff was professional and super nice food was excellent Also we went there with our 2 months baby so we were a bit nervous but staff was so lovely and make sure we all feel welcome and relaxed. We will definitely come back : thank you very much
Me and my husband went to auberge du lac for the first time for my husband’s 50th birthday treat. We had the 7 course tasting menu with the wine flight. It was absolutely sensational and we can’t wait to return. Beautiful setting and very romantic french atmosphere. Excellent service. 10/10 form us! A long leisurely January lunch. The restaurant overlooks the lake and the hall, stunning, as was the food. The set lunch is amazing value at £39 for 3 courses. Highly recommended
Lunch with a group of friends. Lovely house with views over the park. Service was great, friendly and efficient. Enjoyed the food, all nicely presented.
Lunch was a joy. Welcoming atmosphere, attentive service, and the desserts were a taste sensation. Highly recommended! Will be back.
