Small French Auberge in tiny hill village Brancion, Borgogne region. Run by charming older couples who have apparently managed it for 35 years since the takeover of their father. She understands English quite well. The dining area is both small and very underlined decorative, a bit like the food on offer, but in saying that, our tour group, here all 12 of us) were served for lunch a house made quiche borraine with salad that was quite good. Limited menu choices, have offered wine/beer. Has noticed some other diners on some OK looking crepes. If hungry and need a bite while this charming little village / Chateaux then besides sandwandcherie, go for it.
the place has something. the chateau, from the entrance of the tores to the auberge and the small market hall over the small church with views of the bourgogne; simply beautiful. the rooms of the auberge are large (at least the rooms we had) and fit into the ambiente of the house and the old village. we were there several times. the owners of the auberge were always very nice, friendly and helpful. we are coming back in a definitiw.
the front room is beautiful, but apart from that, this restaurant has nothing for it: a series of unwritten rules (not the right to drink only a carafe water with its meal, obligation to take the same omelette if we are several to order because the guide cannot prepare individual .. by an unpleasant boss, which seems to be the dictatorship of his acariâtre mannes to be the cookside. in short, a waste of time and money.
I love everything about this little café. The lady is friendly, crepes are good and served at any time. There is a selection of seats either inside or in the picturesque conservatory. We decided to stop at the hostel for a drink while visiting this beautiful village. To check that the cafes are about to be served, the waiter put a finger in it. The owner, super rude. The service, nonexistent. I am rather the type to make positive comments but there, frankly ... A real disaster!

The hotel is located in the restored medieval village of Brancion, just from the modern city. Excellent menu, basic wines, family square, good informal service.
