it is a great place to visit when they love van gogh and the restaurant ambiente is wonderful. but eating may not appeal to everyone. for approx. 39 euro I had the Canard-Terrine (there was unfortunately no pate), the 7-hour lamb and the...chocolate mousse. if they are a really big eater, they will not be disappointed with the portions. but I agree with some of the other critics that there is something like eating too much. it would be okay if it was easy and tender. but eating here is heavy and earthly. pampering your appetit to have too much before you. the aromas of the terrine and the lamb were nothing special and tasted just a toothy game. A lovely visit. The place is unique. (I won't tell you what we see) but it's a moving experience. The room remained in its original state because it was closed for 103 years. This shows the emotion that reigns there. The guide provides explanations that enrich the story. Especially since the place has had different owners. The room has never been re-rented since Van Gogh's tragic death. The team; from the waiter, to the waitress, from the ticket office to the guide and the boutique; All are in respect of the memory of the artist. we have a reservation for lunch in the month before auberge ravoux, and expected to eat there, what we hoped was vincents table. when we arrived on time, there were only about 6 people in the restaurant, and the prices were for a lunch... Menu (30 to 40 euro). we also discovered that they would not allow us to share an order as we had done all week in paris restaurants, which would have brought our lunch bill to around 70 euro. So we just glued a glass of wine, and then ate somewhere else. we have the same experience at the table of vincent for 12 euro instead of 70. caveat imiser let them make the buyer deliberate!
