Had dinner here on a Thursday evening. Welcome and service was very good but the dishes were even better. The amuse bouche of Lemon Mousse was intriguing but wonderful. Started off sweet but changed to unsweet - amazing. Both of us had the gazpacho starter which had a ball of sweet and chill pepper ice-cream in the middle - just marvellous. Mains were chateaubriand for me - perfectly cooked - and sandre (pike-perch) with mushroom risotto for my wife, which she says is one of the best fish dishes she's ever had. We both finished with cheese with a wide and varied selection offered.With kir royals and wine the bill was 100€ which we thought was very reasonable for the high quality of food and...
C'est une auberge familiale qui se trouve sur l'ile. le couple est d'une grande gentillesse et très sympathique ainsi que leurs enfants. Le mari est en cuisine et sa femme est en salle.Il réalise une cuisine traditionnel de grande qualité avec des produits frais. Les assiettes sont copieuses et présentées avec goût.Le rapport qualité/prix est excellent. Leur menu à 29€ est très bien et leur carte est raisonnable par rapport au centre de Saumur et notamment à la place où il y a plein de restaurants..Si il y a beaucoup de monde, vous risquez d'attendre un peu mais cela vaut le coup.La salle est petite et nous vous conseillons de réserver.
We sat on the shaded terrace in front of the restaurant and enjoyed a delicious meal, with everything made in house. The foie gras was so delicious that we bought 3 jars to take with us. Very efficient and friendly service. The restaurant is located in the island across the Loire from the main part of the city, and a short walk from the restaurant there is a beautiful view of the chateau from the banks of the Loire. Highly recommended for sophisticated flavorful food.
Décor rustique, rue calme, produits frais bien cuisinés. Le restaurant est un peu à l'écart dans une petite rue sans commerces. C'est un peu isolé, ce serait mon point négatif Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
At the recommendation of our hotel, we asked them to book a table for us here for dinner on a Friday night. Was very pleased we had as they were full. Delicious and gorgeous.
Fantastisk spisested. Vildt velsmagende mad og drikke. Fin betjening. Der kommer jeg gerne igen. Ikke nogen stor restaurant så det er en god idé at bestille bord.
This lovely restaurant had great customer service, fantastic atmosphere and superb food. Will definately be back for another visit.
