I can't stress how highly I rate this restaurant. The food is superb. Think about it. In England, what would you expect for £12 at lunchtime in an average restaurant? Possibly a decent main course or possibly two courses if the place is a bit of a cheap chain. Tony and Trudie serve three excellent courses, all home made, all delicious and include wine and coffee for the same amount. The welcome is so friendly and there is a feel of a family running an honest, hard-working business providing true value for money. Je reviens toujours à l'Auberge, la cuisine de Tony est excellente et varié avec tous fait maison, souvent avec des touches originales qui encore mettent en valeur le plat. Ses desserts sont superbes! C'est une cuisine plutôt francaise et internationale. Le service est très bon et souriant. Tony et Trudy sont toujours à l'écoute si vous desirez quelquechose differente. Il y a toujours un choix des plats, plus le soir qu'à midi à un prix raisonnable. Maintenant que la salle a été refaite, l'ambience est plus chaleureux.C'est un endroit pour une personne ou plusiers jusqu'à des groupes.
Si notre hôtesse a du mal avec notre langue , ce n est point grave quand on parle l anglais .... la cuisine y est très bonne, le magret de canard fondant et le gratin fabuleux mais voilà, les portions sont trop petites lorsqu on est de la région et que l on a l habitude des parts généreuses pour moins cher !.... Par contre, les proportions sont parfaites si vous venez de Paris et donc des appétits d oiseaux !..
Had yet another superb meal at the Auberge, this time it was Tony's "American" evening. As always the food was done to a T, service, also as always, was excellent, the Jack Daniels BBQ sauce accompanying the poussin was OUT OF THIS WORLD!!The Pecan nut & Maple Syrup Pie was heavenly, unfortunately I could not eat a second helping - too full!!Tony's mince pies are by far the best I have EVER eaten!! When we are in the area we eat here on average 2-3 times a week. The food is amazing. At midday you get a choice of 2 starters, 2 mains and 2 desserts with either wine or coffee included. Each course is homemade and delicious....More
Small quiet restaurant, flowery terrace very friendly I went there several times and I'd go back! English patrons but speak a minimum French. Complete meal and well garnished, home dessert a real delight mmmhh
Several years I come to eat in this restaurant and always as exceptional, food, service, everything is really perfect! I really recommend, perfect for a meal in love or even with family!
