Finding somewhere open on a Sunday night was a bonus. We had been warned away from the restaurant as it was lacking in atmosphere but when we went in at lunchtime it was bustling and lively and could see no problem at all. However when...there are only one or two tables booked it is easy to see why it could be a little austere with its clean, white linen tablecloths and formal arrangement of tables. Stopped in this town for a special event one afternoon on the first long weekend in May and decided to stay in town for dinner. I have a theory that all restaurants with the word auberge in them are always good. I have never been mistaken and this was no exception. Service was good, the food was very nicely presented and very tasty. All in all really good value for the 3 course menus, especially since I live in the Paris area where prices are definitely not the same! They have several types of menus available for all kinds of budgets, which is nice. My only complaint is that the decor was a bit too contemporary and sober for my taste, but that is very subjective. Our group of ate here on Saturday night and we were glad that we booked a table. Every aspect of our meals was of great quality. The entire scallops were the biggest and tastiest that we had ever eaten. The duck main course was...so tender and delicious. We all tried a different desert and each one was impressive. Our menu was about and we thought this to be great value. We all left feeling full and satisfied which doesn't always happen after a restaurant meal. We felt lucky to be able to eat in such a restaurant so close to our holidays day house in Normandy.

We visited this charming French Restaurant twice by chance without booking and were lucky to be seated as many locals followed, which is always a good sign. The service was excellent, food delicious and very good value for money. Parking was easy in the square,...which is very pretty and just a short walk from the river.

Not overpriced for the food but the wine list appeared to be a bit on the heavy side. Service was slow despite an apparently very quiet night. Food was simple and reflected the reasonable price.

we walked in on a Monday night were the town closes to find this little gem open and welcoming. They had Moules and Frits on as a special and they certainly were very special.
