After hearing great things about this place, it was an extremely disappointing experience and as such our group won't be returning. The menu looks fabulous however most of the food was terrible- the duck was overcooked and dry, the lamb was slimy and inedible and the radicchio looked like a blob of mess and was also inedible. Whilst the lamb and radicchio were removed from our bill, for our party of 4 as our gluten free friend did not eat anything as the menu has very limited gluten free options) it still cost $326 which did include 2 drinks for 2 of us, but only 1 drink each for the other 3. It was certainly not worth the money :
The food was terrible frankly. Served cold, and late. Waited almost 90 minutes for the mains. When they arrived they were all room temperature. The fish was cold and the pancetta didn’t look cooked. I didn’t eat it. The calamari although soft had the odour of bait for fishing. Maybe the chef was away sick, who knows but we won’t be eating there again.
The food was quite good, but the portions for sharing were rather small. After spending $160, we were still hungry. We could have ordered more, but instead opted to grab a roast chicken from Coles on our way home.
We love Bar Audrey and look forward to many more delicious dinners . My only feedback would be that the stools 1/2 our party were seated on were very uncomfortable. A real gem. best food handsdown in Bayside. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
The staff were fantastic, and the food was incredible. The service was a bit inconsistent, but it didn't detract from the overall experience.
