After dined at Proud Mary, we visited their roaster store.<br/ <br/ There are some large roasting machine able to see from window and a lot of coffee beans lined up against wall.<br/ Very knowledgeable friendly staff explained the beans I was after and went to find the beans from the stock.<br/ <br/ These beans have excellent aroma and natural deep strong flavors which makes want to smell all day long.<br/ I wish all beans have consistency of the favourite flavors. Staff gave me a hint to find beans I like and it was really helpful.<br/ <br/ Only for the first day of making coffee, my latte with the fresh beans was tasted awful! Another brand fresh coffee beans before making latte with this...
--- This is a straightforward review: The service is friendly and knowledgeable; they truly understand their coffee. They grind and roast their own beans, which adds to the experience. Parking is convenient, and the ambiance is inviting—it's bound to become even more welcoming when restrictions are lifted. As for the coffee? I’d give it a perfect 10 out of 10, and the prices are reasonable too! If you love black coffee and espresso, this place is for you! If you're unsure, go try.<br/ <br/ I'm not a fan of black coffee or espresso. Usually, I need (soy milk. It was an interesting experience to try the different flavours of coffees and really taste the difference.<br/ <br/ They change the flavours on a regular basis, so make sure to go back after a few weeks to experience new flavours.<br/ <br/ For me personally, it's not a place I'd choose simply because I'm not a fan of black coffee. However, all the coffee addicts I know, love this place. :
We discovered this place through my brother in-law. ‘Mr coffee connoisseur’.... this is the true coffee snob place to be. If cold drip is your thing this is the place. When you think of wine tasting this is the coffee version of that. They do a coffee sampler. The guys here are truely unique and experts in the coffee thing. Knowledgeable baristas- like a tutorial on the process of coffee. Too many choices though which led to us realising that we may have picked the wrong brew type for the wrong type of bean process. Also would have preferred a different sequence to coffee tasting. More a light to heavier sequence. Nevertheless, a very interesting and insightful experience. Incredibly professional baristas.
I visited during their Women in Coffee Showcase, and I have to say, it was the best cold drip black coffee I've had in Melbourne! I absolutely loved the Pacamara Natural from Maria Pacas— it had a lovely fruity aroma with a subtle hint of raspberry flavor. What a delightful afternoon!
When I’m in the area it’s one of my hide away places to while some time away with a delicious coffee, a treat, and the sounds of roasting machines. Awesome staff who are so warm and friendly and always ready for a chat.
