unfortunately I wouldn't return to aura. we were the only people in the restaurant, even until we were at 20:30 on a Saturday night. the waiter took our drink order only after our eating. the poppadums had oil drained and were not very nice to eat with the hands. eating was average and there was a limited choice. the menu gave a selection of juices, but when I asked about the choice, they had only orange. the waiter spent most of the time reading so we had to wait to get his attention, even though we were the only customers in the restaurant.
The food at AURA is fantastic and the service is excellent. My three friends and I went there last week as it is nearby and we have tried all the restaurants in Eastcote. This Indian restaurant is definitely the best in the area, serving the most delicious Indian food by far. The staff is very friendly and always serves with a smile. Some dishes are unique compared to other Indian restaurants, such as the King Prawn butterfly and Duck Nilgiri. The food is amazing and I highly recommend this place. -Chris
The modern pink and white decor at Aura at HA5 is trendy, although the lighting is perhaps a little too bright. There are a few surprises on the £7.99 menu such as the soup and casava tikki starters. We ordered a couple of side dishes to go with the main courses as there were 4 of us to share them and we are used to having a selection. The starters were very prettily presented on slate trays and were medium hot. The mains seemed a little greasy but still enjoyable and it was nice to have a pud.
enjoy the special offer 4 courses for £7.99 meal. very intelligent restaurant with very good service. food proportions on the small size. very little lamb in the lamb main course, but the amount of the chicken in the main course was quite sufficient. Too bad that there was no heating on the table to keep the food warm that is found in so many Indian restaurants. pleasant desert included. at the price we have paid definitley excellent value for money. thought that was just another Indian restaurant on the street, but it tried on the 4 course menu offer. the food was really delicious (if a little spicy for me and the service was excellent. the atmosphere was good, about what they would expect on Wednesday in a restaurant in eastcote (we were alone in the restaurant most of the night. . better than the average suburb Indian restaurant.
I recently dined at a fantastic new restaurant and I must say, I have never had an Indian meal quite like this before. From the crispy poppadums to the delectable desserts, every dish had a unique and flavorful touch. The service was excellent and it was a refreshing change from the usual Indian dining options in our area. I will definitely be returning soon.
£7.99 for four courses! great deal! Chicken Korma was lovely. We were told we'd be given two small bottles of lager for the price of one big one, but they were separate on the bill. We didn't complain because they kindly didn't charge us the extras for the narns (which were average). Too much light in the restaurant. No candles on the tables.
Enjoyed our visit to Aura at HA5 although it was extremely quiet on the Wednesday evening. The deal was great value as the 4 courses were nicely filling and each was tasty.
