This is one of my favorite spots in the neighborhood! It is a great spot for happy hour and trivia which they offer weekly. I try to go here with my girlfriends on Thursdays when they run Ladies Night specials. Outside of Happy Hour time, drinks are pretty pricey for the area so I try to come in when they are offering some kind of deal or special. They also offer a bottomless brunch option which I haven't tried yet but can't imagine it's a flop based off my experiences here for dinner. I decided to kill some time with my girls while waiting for my hunny to make it back to Queens. The staff here are great. The reason for the three stars is due to the food particle floating around in the water that I drank. As I chugged my water I felt something floating around in my mouth. I prayed it was perhaps a seed from a lemon, but it wasn't. I was totally skeeved out. Extremely uncomfortable with what took place I decided I wasn't going to order anything because of this. My favorite dish is the Homemade Beef Meatballs with melted mozzarella and marinara sauce on a hero. And, of course, Taco Tuesday is still a hit! Their brunch burgers remain the best in Forest Hills.

Austin Public offers a solid selection of drinks and is conveniently located among the restaurants in Forest Hills, making it an excellent spot to stop by for drinks afterward.

This place is a great spot for beer and drinks. They just reopened after covid last Thursday and are not at a full menu yet. They have beers on tap, domestic, cocktails and mostly bar food. Friendly and good service, socially distanced and nice atmosphere. They have horseradish aoli, don't recommend it's a bit to astringent. We enjoyed the blue cheese dressing instead and almost tasted the same but less harsh on the palette
Having recently moved to the neighborhood my boyfriend and I are always looking to discover the great places to eat in our hood! Austin Public is a pretty chill spot, nice for gatherings, watching the game and enjoying some delicious eats while doing so. It is one of our favorite places to meet up with friends on weekends. Food is delicious and the pineapple margarita is strong!
I had the worst experience at this place a year ago but free I gave it a 2nd shot,,,, I can't get enough. $9 taco and they r the best tasting tacos I've had at a Queens bar so far. People told us this was the place to be but we weren't overly impressed with the very young crowd. We only went for some drinks and the bartender ignored us to stand and talk with his friends for a while so it was less than a great experience. I'll try again when I am back in town because their food looks really good!

My favorite spot for drinks and karaoke on Sunday evenings after work. Each time I visit, I bring along a new group of friends, and we always have a fantastic time. The drinks are excellent, the prices are reasonable, and the staff is wonderful! They've come to know me, so I feel like a celebrity every time I go.
