This is a small place and it's true the lady runs a tight ship and likes customers to be punctual. It opens only for restricted hours and I think if people arrive late it upsets the order of things. There are often only people...working there the chef (fantastic), the lady owner and another young waitress. Because opening hours are tight everything has to fit in with the planned schedule and that's why perhaps some folk might have been turned away. Reservations are usually a must. At first we have to say that this restaurant is highly demanded in Maussane. We started to eat there three times but one day we had luck. Although the restaurant was complet in the evening we got a seat for two. We were not waiting...long for our delicious food. The plate was good and the Amount was sufficient. My friend could eat the rest from me. For us it is important to mention that the owners change their menu several times a year. It's always a surprise. We are looking forward to our next visit.
Just opposite our campsite sits this gem of a restaurant. Always busy, so very advisable to book, as there is only one sitting and all the food is freshly prepared in the tiny kitchen. The salads are huge so don't expect to eat one as...a starter and follow with a main course. Wonderful risottos and pasta dishes and marvellous Italian ice creams. The wine in pichets is the most reasonable in Maussane, and very good too!!

My wife and I and two friends had lunch there after visiting a local attraction and we ordered two Italian salads, one Provencale salad and a lasagne and all four dishes were very good. A local rosè wine was a good accompaniment. We were not...hungry enough for a dessert but the selection looked very good. We settled for an espresso instead.
A family affair... there was a specific ambiance led by a Lady should be the owner) an Italian movie ambiance ...service is not the best we had in our life.... but food is a must try experience... generous and delicious are the right words...for pasta antipasti and ice cream.
We visited on the of august and we were impressed by the reception, the food and the price. This is somewhere you should visit for hearty good quality and unpretentious Italian food. Don't miss but do arrive on time as tables can be scarce...at busy times.
every time we are here we are welcome, the salads are amazing and bliss is the best ever. risotto are extremely tasty. the woman is in front of the house and man is the cook. we come back here years after the year.

We eat here regularly when we visit Maussane. The asparagus risotto is fantastic but so is every other dish! We love the food and we love the owners. We cannot wait to get back to see the summer menu!
The food was not bad at all. I can say it was pretty good, but the service could improve a notch. I would still recommend it if you want to ear Italian
