We have been to this place three times. We loved it on our first visit and had a beautiful Thai Fish in a dish, hot and beautifully cooked. The desserts were wonderful choices too. The owner looked after us very well and he was very attentive and friendly. The lady at the bar didn't appear to be as friendly but showed us to a table and was respectful. On our second visit we were showed immediately to the same seat, at the back of the restaurant away from regulars who were seated at the front. Same reception from the lady at the bar but the food was as good. The third visit we decided to go for an Anniversary meal with family seated at the same table, same reception but noticed the price had...
We took lunch here when passing through town towards the vet. Service was speedy and friendly with some decent English spoken. The menu had English translations too. We both chose the cheeseburger and fries with a Coca Cola. I ordered my burger medium rare and my wife ordered well done, when they arrived they were both perfectly cooked to our liking. We very much enjoyed our meal and followed it with another ice cold Coca Cola. They've got five stars from us because of the quality of the food and the fact they offered water for our dog. If you close your eyes and imagine a perfect Normand bistro with a modern twist then you will imagine this place. The maitre d' looked very familiar, maybe an actor in his spare time?? Wonderful ambiance with an interesting but authentic menu. Good value for money and excellent house wine. A gem of a find!
Good simple French food, good wine and efficient service. Quirky interior and lovely atmosphere. The owner seems quite a character and seems to decide whether he is going to like you or not! He seemed to like us (phew!)Not the cheapest, but good value for the quality of the food. Delicious cider too.
