We asked Sarah and Eric at Aux Petits Oignons if they could host our wedding reception after their restaurant was recommended to us by a friend. Although hosting a wedding was a first for them, we could not have asked for a better experience! Right from the start, Sarah and Eric were warm and welcoming. They were incredibly helpful - not only proposing a delicious menu plus wine for the wedding breakfast, but also making additional suggestions to help us organise our Méribel wedding. We enjoyed a pleasant dinner here on the Chalet girls' night off. The pan fried fois gras was very nice although I would have liked more. The steak was well cooked sitting on a Rosti in a pepper sauce. It was tasty but slightly soggy. We had the local red which was good. The whole thing was Euro 50 a head which was slightly more than it was worth. The setting was relaxed and the staff pleasant. This was our second attempt to eat there. Two years ago when we were last in Meribel we tried to do the same thing but when we arrived they had lost our booking. After a pre-dinner drink sitting near the bar we sat down to enjoy an excellent meal . Two of us had Charolais steaks cooked perfectly to our liking and I enjoyed a tasty pan fried halibut steak. Additionally we had a portion of mixed vegetables, crozet, and I couldn't resist ordering a side of home made fries. After the main course I enjoyed a café gourmand comprising three delightful mini desserts and a strong hot espresso. First rate! The atmosphere is friendly and informal. Nothing is cheap in Méribel but it was very good value for money. The bottle of 2016 Rosé from Provence was only 19 euros. That , in Méribel, is as near to cheap as you will ever get! We've dined here twice (so far)! on our ski holiday. The food is fantastic (I highly recommend the chicken and risotto dish followed by the lemon and blackcurrant tart), the service is very friendly, and the restaurant is very cosy thanks to the fire in the middle of the room. On our first night, we ate there and dined late as we'd only just arrived. They were kind enough to give us a pint of milk as all of the restaurants had closed. A sign of a great restaurant! P.s Dogs are welcome too!

A nice cozy restaurant at altitude 1600 in méribel. I had a table next to the fire. They don't have a real menu card, but a chalkboard with suggestions and a menu of the day with a dish, a main dish and a dessert. They also organize a happy hour after skiing.
Sking resorts are renown for being expensive but this restaurant offers great value for money. Our waitress was really helpful, cheery and tremendously efficient. Would recommend but good idea to book, especially if there's more than two if you
We went there for a casual dinner and had a venison and chicken as a main. Venison was excellent. Chicken with risoto was good, nothing exceptional. Staff is friendly, atmosphere was not very lively but place is charming and decoration is cozy.
A little bar/restaurant up the road from our chalet - what a find.....Great for post ski drink but the food is amazing.Had a croque monsieur lunch one day - it was huge

Nice food. Nice service. Good wine. Reasonable prices. There is also a bar if you only want to drink a beer.
