Located just in front of Brest fortress, this restaurant, in winter time, offers quite a surprising arrangement with its narrow rooms. But, once seated, you can enjoy the great quality of service. It is always a pleasure to feel welcome and here, it is a reality. Congratulations then. The wine list is OK. Not a huge one but good and fine wines at very affordable prices are offered. You will certainly be able to find a good choice in the list not needing the help of a sommelier. Different menus are proposed or you can pick up a La carte. We choose the 37€ menu. My boyfriend an I had a very pleasant dinner at this restaurant. The food was excellent and plentiful, the staff was friendly and helpful and we had a nice table in the stylish restaurant. This restaurant also has a lovely terrace, but we preferred sitting inside, because we found it a little bit chilly outside. I really loved the seafood platter I got as a starter (that salmon tartare was outstanding and who doesn't love oysters). My main course consisted of scallops and bacon, an unusual combination that worked very well, served with a vegetable crumble. The toilets were very fancy and what's more: very clean.
This restaurant was recommended by the staff at the Chateaux (also the Maritime Museum) and was a five minute walk away. We weren’t sure what to expect but were hot and hungry and willing to stop anywhere that served cold drinks and food. Fortunately for us, this place is an absolute gem. The service was fantastic, the waiting staff couldn’t do enough to help. The food was delicious and excellent value for money. Highly recommended. No photos we were too hungry!
