I visited this pub on a special concert night. It was packed and the music was terrific. As such, the service seemed slow at our table. But then, we didn't order much alcohol either. My friend and I got our drinks OK, but when I ordered coffee it came bitter and overcooked. I asked the waitress for more cream, and she never came back, so I ended up taking the cold cup back to the bar and asking for an entirely new one; it was still bitter and strong, but I got a whole glass of creamers to help. Kudos to the pub for the music; you need to get more staff for your busy music nights.
personally, my experience I had in the avalanche was one of the best I had for years. great food and excellent service. but in order to round it off, the dame (I think) was polite and professional at cost control. so that everyone has left the establishment with smiles on his face. Moreover, she could treat an rude, intoxicating costumer well when he went behind the counter and tried to get his dumbbells back. she deserves an arrangement for her hard work.
We went there on one of the Thursday jazz evenings, came early but still got literally the last table in the place. It was packed. They had a 3-course dinner for a very reasonable price but we were only there for drinks and share plates. The latter came after a long wait, by the time they reached us the food was nearly cold. Be warned that conversation is frowned upon by some jazz enthusiasts, even though it's a BAR and not the Lincoln Centre.
Went to Jazz Night and really enjoyed the caliber of entertainment. The food was great we had drinks, wings (on special,) yam fries and loaded nachos over the course of the evening. The servers were fantastic, the ambiance at Jazz night was really nice. We will go back! Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
I stopped in for some supper on Monday night the food was excellent I was very impressed the barkeep she seemed to know most of the people in there by first name and was very friendly and made this dining experience enjoyable.
pub during the day that offers food. Mostly an older crowd during the day in the night, they have a lot of themes nights and live music that a younger crowd. cheap drinks, good people.
what a place! great stage, good beer, decent menu, great slipper. a true favorite for live music lovers. look at the jazz society sponsored Thursday shows. what a great place!
my friend and I usually come here the week, we love the pool is free. they make the best cesars. we have not tried to eat, but bartenders are very friendly: Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
If you like playing pool, they have free pool one nights. Its a small place with live band, great place to go out in Courtenay
