Been coming here for years. Sad to report that this place has gone downhill. Tried to order a bagel without cheese but the cashier did not enter it correctly. I noticed it after the fact and reported it after about 7 minutes. Waited an additional 17 minutes before I gave up. No biggie but I only get 30 minutes for lunch and had waited 24 minutes so I asked for a refund. Manager, Salvador then hears this and starts making excuses. My daughters favorite morning spot. Whether we are having a lazy weekend morning or off to a hectic weekend full of basketball... she always wants Avalon. At least once a week! What a lovely breakfast spot! They make their bagels by hand, and there are so many flavors to choose from. The breakfast special is an incredible value and quite filling! The fries are crispy and flavorful, and the bagels are simply delicious. I highly recommend this place! We also tried the lox and cream cheese, which came with red onion and tomato—a new favorite of mine! The red onion paired beautifully and balanced the rich flavors perfectly. Just watched an employee, Nicola or Nicolette lose her cool. It's busy, today's mothers day, we know. Another customer asked if she had an update on her order? it had been 30 minutes. She was polite about it. The employee proceeded to YELL at her We are busy and it's mothers day! Wow! Could have just checked on her order???? I was sad and embarrassed for her. She ended up asking for a refund, I would too. You don't get my business when you act like that. Nicola then starts yelling and lecturing about wasting food. Thanks Nicola you RUINED everyone's morning and mother's day who had to listen to you and you're bratty responses. Take a walk!
The atmosphere is very welcoming and friendly. The bagels were quite good, and there were many locals who seemed to be regulars, familiar with the staff. I recommend trying the bagel with a veggie omelet on a multigrain bagel—it was delicious! The menu offers a variety of other tasty vegetarian options as well. I really enjoyed the vibe of the place. They also have Wi-Fi, but be aware that there are no power outlets, so I had to find another spot when my laptop battery ran low.
Dropped in after happily noticing it on my way home from a doctor's appointment.Picked up a dozen bagels with cream cheese for 18.99. The selection was very good, especially considering that it was 2pm on a weekday afternoon. All bagel connoisseurs know you must start early if you want the best selection!Family and I decimated the bagels in less than 48hrs. We WILL definitely return.

Ugh I'm really disappointed in this place. Waited a really long time for one bagel with cream cheese.... Service is not the best. Definitely not what it used to be a few years back when I came regularly. Go down to Anaheim hills, LilyPopp is better
