We had high expectations the reviews were all great and the price point from the online menu was awesome. Wine list was great and the service was beyond Fantastic everyone was on top of their game but the food fell shortboth entrees were lack of a better word tasteless. We didn't taste any spices, it was just ..... flat. I'm Italian, we eat out every week and a majority of the time, it's Italian. This was flat. The Italian sausage was smoked, so other than a smoke flavor we tasted nothing forget the fact that I never, ever had smoked Italian sausage. It's a shame the people were so nice and they really took care of us. We had a cannoli for dessert the shell had something sweet in it not sure...
We went to Avanzare for dinner last night, first time in the restaurant. We ordered take out a month or so ago, and it was delicious. Last night was a great experience. Service was great, thanks to Anna. I ordered a seafood/pasta dish called Tagliolini Frutti de Mare. The pasta was homemade; a perfect al dente, and a great tasting tomato sauce. We had fried calamari as an appetizer, and it was seasoned very nicely. My wife ordered the Bracicole. It was super tasty. We shared our meals, and I have to say that everything was delicious We will definitely be returning for another great meal at Avanzare.
1st time at this restaurant to celebrate 40th wedding anniversary a birthday. The dinners ordered were beyond fantastic, service exceptional even though very busy noisy, however as evening progressed the noise level eased. Spent 3 hrs at restaurant and would definitely recommend return
The food at this restaurant is excellent, but the waiter seemed unfamiliar with the menu. We had to ask the host for assistance in explaining dishes and answering our questions. The young man could benefit from further training in both menu knowledge and customer service.

The fried appetizer was not very good. Scallops were tiny balls. Shrimp tiny, some branch like thing and zucchini were like shoe string cut. Kinda terrible. Other appetizers were good and tiramisu and wine were delicious.
This was the first time at Avanzare and it was by far the best food and service we have gotten in the last years. Will go back for sure.
